Take Advantage of the Fall! Work on your Skills to be the Most Dangerous Player on the Field! Our Programs are Designed to Improve your Production in All Areas to get to Another Level!
We will cover everything you need to hit harder, gain velocity, field better, run faster, and stay healthy. No matter your position or age, our program will help dedicated, committed and accountable players prepare to compete.
The program will be directed by our highly experienced, professional coaches and instructors who have access to top-notch resources. They will provide unparalleled player development. We will track each player's measurables at the beginning and at the end of the program to monitor their gains. Therefore, the players need to be committed to push themselves to receive the desired results. We care about all of the players and their development in baseball and life. This is a great opportunity to learn how to play the game the right way.
We place a premium value on practice and training as much as competition. We will focus on 3 primary areas: physical conditioning, technical skill development, and mental/emotional development.
FALL SEASON: September 1 to November 14, 2024
PRACTICE/TRAINING: 2-3 practices per week to be held on T/W/TH in Concord/Martinez. Arm Care, Bullpens, Fielding, Catching, Batting, Baserunning, Game Situations and much more. Times TBD.
GAMES: We will play games on the weekends. We will use practice days to supplement additional games as needed. Gametimes TBD. We have will play tournaments, games and visit college campuses.
FOCUS: Work ethic, arm care, strength/conditioning, sound fundamentals, learning primary positions, baseball knowledge, fortitude, accountability, character, sportsmanship, teamwork, and the mental game.
This all ultimately relates to our concept of teaching our players how to “control the controllable” when they are on the field and is truly what it means to GRIND.

LEARN THE PROPER MECHANICS, FUNDAMENTALS, TECHNIQUES AND SECRETS OF BASEBALL PITCHING
Training sessions will focus on the development of mechanics using specific cues to produce mechanical outcomes, improving command, and gaining velocity. Some training devices that may be used to produce specific results will be the big league edge, water bag, king of the hill, and clean fuego. Depending on the package selected the use of technology may be used to get a guideline on what metrics the athlete should try to induce, in order to be the best on the field.

JOE AIVAZIAN - GOLDEN STATE GRIND DIRECTOR OF PLAYER DEVELOPMENT
When Brys reviewed our proprietary BLUE COLLAR BLUEPRINT. He was an instant believer in our mission. He immediately volunteered to aid in our pursuit. Jeremy is currently the Head Varsity Baseball Coach at Berean Christian High School and has held the position since 2016. He has coached at Las Lomas High School and various youth baseball teams.
He grew up in San Ramon and graduated from De La Salle High School.
Brys brings a wealth of experience and resources to the Grind. He brings an enthusiasm to mentor student-athletes through the game of baseball. His calling is to lead young athletes into the next chapter of their lives.
Jeremy teaches players that discipline, hard work, accountability, teamwork and having fun will help them achieve their goals in baseball and in life.
He is responsible for building our program through community support to assist our players reach unprecedented levels of success. He will run camps, coach, and instruct our players as needed.
Brys’ business expertise and acumen will help our long term business model of getting our players the exposure that they need to reach the highest levels of success on and off the field.

JOE AIVAZIAN - GOLDEN STATE GRIND DIRECTOR OF PLAYER DEVELOPMENT
Aivazian has coached at Alhambra High School, Berean Christian High School, Las Lomas High School, College Park High School and a number of travel baseball teams. HIs attention to detail is much appreciated when designing training and game plans. Joe brings a wealth of baseball and life experiences. He is the driving force behind the successful execution of our Blue Collar Blueprint.
Joe is passionate about baseball and wants to share his love for the game with others. His journey with the Golden State Grind began when he realized there was an urgent need to provide players with the proper fundamentals and comprehensive information about all aspects of baseball. His unique coaching style and enthusiasm directly impacts each player in our program.
He is tasked with leading our camps, advanced training curriculum, program structure, high school preparation, and college player development. Joe prioritizes personal growth and athletic development through training that develops an elite performance attitude to cultivate confidence, dedication, and perseverance through a hard work ethic that creates achievement.

AUSTIN FITZPATRICK - GOLDEN STATE GRIND DIRECTOR OF BASEBALL INSTRUCTION
Aaron is a Major League Baseball veteran. He is currently the Manager of the Oakland Ballers. He was drafted by the Houston Astros. He played with the Chicago White Sox, Colorado Rockies, St. Louis Cardinals, Chicago Cubs and Los Angeles Dodgers. He was part of two NCS titles; and in 2006 he won a MLB World Series with the St. Louis Cardinals.
Miles earned a reputation as being a blue collar, tough, and fearless player. An off-field incident in spring training in 2000 showed his toughness. Several of his teammates from the Houston Astros organization were in their hotel when two gunmen burst into their room. Miles was in the next room and the gunmen took him hostage. The police arrived before the gunmen were able to take him to their getaway car, but one gunman fled the scene. The other forced Miles back into his room where he ended up wrestling the gunman to the ground. The police entered the room and shot the gunman while Miles held him to the floor. The gunman survived his wounds, and his accomplice was later captured.
He retired from the majors in 2011 after one season with the Los Angeles Dodgers, ending his career with a .281 career average. He was a clutch performer throughout his career: In 2011, he batted .357 with runners on base, which led the National League.
Due to Aaron’s mental approach and versatility as a MLB player. This has given him an advanced ability to teach all aspects of baseball. He has increased our players baseball knowledge and on field improvement. His advice and knowledge is invaluable. Our players and staff are blessed to have him as a resource.

Fitzpatrick is currently a player/manager for the San Rafael Pacifics. They were the 2023 Pecos League Champions under his tutelage.
At the GOLDEN STATE GRIND, Austin is the go-to source for all things baseball. He provides our players with accurate and up-to-date information, while also fostering a sense of community. His main focus is to implement our Blue Collar Blueprint to perfection.
He is dedicated to mentoring our players in mental and physical wellness to provide our players with the knowledge needed to maximize their skills and reach their full potential.

Aaron Miles is fueled by his passion to develop the complete baseball player through proven professional instruction.
Former major league baseball player, professional manager, World Series Champion, Aaron Miles, brings his 20+ years of professional baseball experience home to Contra Costa County, to create a fun and professional learning experience for all aspects of the game.
The GOLDEN STATE GRIND is convinced the fundamentals instilled in Aaron by his dad at an early age laid the foundation for a successful major league career. In addition to the physical skills acquired, he takes pride in developing the complete player centered around character building and training to provide a roadmap towards success.
Not all private baseball lessons are created equal. Each individual lesson is uniquely different, and upon initial evaluation, players will have a tailored plan to fit the wants and needs of each individual.
Baseball instruction will consist of drills and training developed and used through 20+ years of professional baseball experience as a major league player, professional manager, and World Series Champion.
