Coach Bill Duby is one of Northern California's most respected baseball leaders, recognized for building elite player development systems, championship cultures, and transformational leadership programs. Throughout his career, he has dedicated himself to developing athletes, mentoring young people, and creating opportunities that extend far beyond the game. The Duby name has become synonymous with integrity, accountability, innovation, and excellence within the baseball community.
A visionary in player development, Coach Duby blends traditional baseball fundamentals with modern instruction, advanced analytics, and innovative training methodologies. His proprietary Blue Collar Blueprint develops complete athletes by emphasizing discipline, work ethic, accountability, resilience, baseball IQ, attention to detail, and leadership. His philosophy prepares players not only to compete at higher levels, but to become confident, disciplined young men and women equipped for success in life.
Known as a builder, Coach Duby has earned a reputation for taking on challenges others avoid—transforming programs, developing organizational systems, and creating sustainable pathways for long-term player growth. His relentless commitment to continuous improvement has helped establish Golden State Grind as one of Northern California's premier baseball development organizations.
A graduate of Mt. Diablo High School in Concord, California, Coach Duby was a standout four-sport athlete, earning 10 varsity letters in football, basketball, baseball, and track & field. He received All-League and All-East Bay honors in football while qualifying for the North Coast Section Championships in the 440-yard relay, triple jump, and long jump. He also helped establish a school record in the 440-yard relay.
He continued his football career at Diablo Valley College before transferring to San Francisco State University. Coach Duby later spent more than a decade competing nationally in men's slow-pitch softball, further strengthening his understanding of high-level competition, leadership, teamwork, and performance.
Coach Duby is the founder of Golden State Grind, one of Northern California's premier baseball and softball development organizations, providing year-round instruction, camps, travel teams, showcases, and comprehensive player development for athletes ages 4–18.
Previously, Coach Duby served as California State Director for Stars and Stripes Baseball, overseeing player development, regional operations, and national exposure opportunities for elite athletes throughout California.
Beyond coaching, Coach Duby's leadership spans corporations, youth sports organizations, educational partnerships, athletic facilities, recruiting, player evaluation, coach development, practice planning, organizational operations, business leadership, advisory boards, podcasts, and community initiatives. His ability to build systems, develop coaches, mentor athletes, and elevate entire organizations has made him a trusted leader throughout the baseball community.
Today, Coach Duby continues to pursue one mission: to build one of the nation's most complete player development pathways, developing better athletes, stronger leaders, and higher-character young people through the game of baseball.

Billy Duby is a former Division I right-handed pitcher and the founder of Duby Baseball, a premier baseball development organization based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Known for his elite playing background and sharp pitching IQ, Duby has quickly built a reputation as one of the top up-and-coming instructors and player development specialists in the region.
Billy’s baseball journey began at Miramonte High School in Orinda, California, where he earned widespread recognition in 2018, including:
After high school, Duby pitched for Diablo Valley College (DVC), contributing to the Vikings’ staff during the 2020–2021 season. He then advanced to Western Kentucky University (WKU) and later to Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee, where he completed his collegiate playing career.
Duby’s talents extended well beyond the college season. He competed in three seasons of the Florida Collegiate Summer League, where he was a standout performer. In 2023, he was selected to pitch in the prestigious National Alliance of College Summer Baseball Prospect Games, where he struck out all three batters he faced while touching 94 mph.
Later that same summer, Duby appeared for the Party Animals in their national tour against the viral Savannah Bananas, showcasing his skills in front of packed stadiums and massive online audiences.
Following his college career, Billy signed professionally with the Oakland Ballers of the Pioneer League, but was traded prior to the season to the Ottawa Titans of the Frontier League, where he made an immediate impact—earning All-Star honors in his rookie year.
In addition to his success on the field, Duby has consistently demonstrated a strong commitment to academics:
He began graduate studies toward a Master’s in Sports Administration, which he has paused to pursue professional baseball.
Driven by his passion for player development, Billy founded Duby Baseball—a dynamic training program offering teams, lessons, camps, and athlete development plans for players of all ages. Built on the foundation of hard work, attention to detail, and mental toughness, Duby Baseball has quickly become a trusted name in Northern California baseball instruction.
From dominating on the mound to building the next generation of talent, Billy Duby’s influence continues to grow. His blend of professional experience, teaching ability, and competitive fire makes him one of the most respected young coaches in the game today.
Whether he's dialing up 94 on the radar gun, mentoring pitchers on mechanics, or leading a youth camp, Billy Duby brings elite-level energy, knowledge, and commitment to everything he does.
Check out Billy Duby online to see highlights, interviews, and coaching content that reflect his growing impact on the game.

Aaron Miles is a Major League Baseball veteran and the current Manager of the Oakland Ballers.
Drafted by the Houston Astros, Aaron had a successful MLB career with the Chicago White Sox, Colorado Rockies, St. Louis Cardinals, Chicago Cubs, and Los Angeles Dodgers. Notably, he was part of two NCS championship teams and clinched a World Series title with the St. Louis Cardinals in 2006.
Known for his blue-collar work ethic, toughness, and fearlessness, Aaron’s grit extended beyond the baseball field. In 2000, during spring training with the Astros, Aaron's mental and physical resilience were tested when he was taken hostage by two gunmen at his hotel. After a tense standoff, Aaron wrestled one of the gunmen to the ground, allowing the police to subdue the situation.
Aaron retired from Major League Baseball in 2011 after playing one final season with the Los Angeles Dodgers. Over the course of his career, he maintained a .281 batting average and proved to be a clutch performer—leading the National League with a .357 batting average with runners on base in 2011.
Aaron's versatility, baseball intelligence, and mental approach to the game have made him an invaluable coach and mentor. He has played a key role in developing the baseball knowledge and on-field performance of Golden State Grind players. His insights and leadership continue to benefit the team, making him an essential resource for both players and staff.
